A major mill
producing oriented strand board (OSB) requires a Control
Systems Specialist.
Reporting to
the the Maintenance Manager the Control Systems Specialist
is responsible for:

Maintaining the process control and HMI systems and
implementing and enforcing design standards for those
systems.

Optimizing
and refining plant control system operations and working
with maintenance and production personal to help ensure
the best possible performance of the facility.

Specifying
control and instrumentation needs for ongoing product
development projects.

Maintaining and developing process information systems for
product management and environmental data analysis.
The
successful candidate will have minimum of 2 years of
industrial control systems experience having performed PLC
programming, control loop optimization, I/O and drive
configuration and communication and HMI development.
Specific experience with Rockwell RSLogix 5000 processors,
Wonderware HMI software, and Allen Bradley communication
technologies such as ControlNet and DeviceNet is preferred
but not required.
Candidates
must also have a post secondary degree or diploma related to
electrical control or instrumentation. A working
knowledge of SQL database systems and Visual Studio.NET
programming would be a definite asset.
