Eurocan Pulp & Paper Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of West
Fraser Timber Co. Ltd.

is a major integrated producer and marketer of high quality
linerboard and kraft paper. Eurocan’s modern 1,3650
tonne/day pulp and paper mill, with two paper machines,
incorporates advanced papermaking and manufacturing
processes while operating in an environmentally sound, safe
and responsible manner.
In this role the successful candidate
will report to the Engineering Superintendent. The E/I
Engineer’s primary role will be project management and
detail design for mill capital projects. The
successful candidate will work with several mill area teams,
providing electrical and instrumentation assistance to
production, maintenance and project engineering personnel
and all aspects of mill electrical engineering, including
power distribution.
Consideration will be given to
individuals with a strong background in E/I engineering in
an industrial environment.
Qualifications:

A degree in Electrical Engineering.

Eligibility for professional
registration in B.C.

Excellent interpersonal and
organizational skills.

Experience with PLC and DCS controls,
motor controls, high and medium voltage power distribution
and digitally controlled drives. Experience with Foxboro
DCS and Allen-Bradley PLC-5 would be an asset.
