Triton Logging is the world leader in the design and
manufacture of underwater logging equipment, management
of large-scale reservoir harvest projects and marketing
of certified eco-wood products. Headquartered at
Saanichton on Vancouver Island, Triton has harvest

Using its patented 'Sawfish' Underwater Harvest system,
Triton recovers standing forests flooded by dam reservoirs
in a safe, economical and environmentally-friendly manner
while delivering valuable economic opportunities around the
world.
The Position:
The primary objective is to provide
field level expertise in troubleshooting and maintenance of
the 'Sawfish'. This position will be based, for the most
part, at the location of the harvesting operations.
Initially the location will be Malaysia for an anticipated
period of 6 to 12 months.
Technical Skills:
- Electrical Troubleshooting and Repair which includes
the ability to read electronic/hydraulic schematics.
- Communications and Network Troubleshooting and Repairs
which includes working knowledge of Ethernet, RS485, and
RS232.
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
- Hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to install and perform software updates.
- Development and document troubleshooting and
maintenance procedures.
- Conduct and document preventative maintenance,
including oil changes, greasing, water controls, and
visual inspections for worn parts, cable and hose damage,
fluid levels.
- Maintain and update field documentation for Sawfish,
including operator manual, safety manual, mechanical
drawings, and electrical/hydraulic schematics.
- Responsible for training others on maintenance and
troubleshooting procedures.
External Liaison:
- May represent Triton in dealings with employer groups,
industry associations, government authorities and other
relevant bodies as required.
