The Company: Tembec is a leading integrated
forest products company with extensive operations in North
America and France. With sales of 3.5 billion and
8,000 employees, it operates 50 market pulp, paper and wood
products manufacturing units. The company manages 40
million acres of forest land in accordance with sustainable
development principles and has committed to obtaining Forest
Stewardship Council (FSC) certification for all forests
under its care.
The Position:
The Forest Analyst manages timber related statistics and
timber pricing programs to ensure Crown stumpage payments
are optimized/minimized for the Division and provide
cost/benefit analyses respecting operational business
decisions.
The annual wood budget includes $15 million in annual
stumpage charges. New production is 2.1 million cubic
meters.
The position reports to the Chief Forester for Western
Canada.
