Tolko Industries Ltd., one of Canada's most
successful and innovative forest products companies, has
resource management and manufacturing operations throughout
Western Canada. Products include paper, lumber, plywood,
OSB, OSL, treated products and wood specialties. The High
Level Division, Alberta's largest sawmill/planermill
complex, produces dimension lumber and export sizes.
The Position:
The Field Supervisor - Logging is
responsible for the planning and implementation of logging
operations within a specific geographical area. Specific
responsibilities include logging supervision, safety,
budgets, contract rate negotiations, review of block layout,
compliance with provincial regulations and certification
systems, PHSP data collection, and liaison with government
agencies and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’
related experience, be a graduate of a recognized
post-secondary institution in the field of forestry and be
eligible for membership in CAPF or CAPFT. A strong
commitment to safety and excellent analytical, interpersonal
and communication skills are required.
The Location:
High Level, Alberta is a young vibrant community of 5,000
persons serving a trading area of 22,000. The community
provides a solid core of community services, provincial
government branch offices, retail shopping, industry
services, schools, a college, airport, a new hospital,
indoor aquatic centre area among many other facilities. It
